Custom Ventilation System at Big Rig Power

Big Rig Power is leading provider of heavy-duty mechanic services for the Edmonton area. They have one of the only semi-truck sized Dynamometer systems in the area, allowing them to perform comprehensive tuning services on diesel trucks. Unfortunately, with the existing ventilation infrastructure of their facility, the Dyno operation created excessive fumes that were struggling to properly exhaust. 

As a solution, Maximum designed and installed a massive, custom hood that would collect the fumes from the trucks and exhaust them properly from the shop. To work in tandem with the exhaust system, we also provided a Makeup Air Unit to temper and replenish the air. 

Maximum offered a turn-key approach, working with an engineering team and multiple trades to deliver this system from start to finish. It involved upgrading the gas meter with a new gas line for the makeup air, a new electrical feed for the new equipment complete with convenience plugs on the roof, new roof penetrations with structural support upgrades, and added fire suppression sprinklers for underneath the hood.
